The best short documentary award of the 6th edition of the International Urban Film Festival in the Iranian capital city of Tehran has been sent to Ecuadorian director.
Iran's Ambassador to Ecuador Saadat Aqajani recently presented the festival's prize for the best short documentary to the young Ecuadorian filmmaker Daniel Yepez for his film ‘Vida’ (life).
A few minutes of the film was displayed for the audience before presenting the prize in Iran’s embassy in the Ecuadorian capital of Quito.
Talking at the ceremony, Yepez praised the festival as an opportunity for identifying young filmmakers’ talents, and a contribution to nurturing them.
The 6th edition of the International Urban Film Festival concluded in Tehran on August 5.
The festival is organized by the Art and Culture Organization of Tehran Municipality in more than ten movie theaters across Tehran.
The event is aimed to improve the quality of city life and urban culture, as well as protect and promote the Iranian-Islamic lifestyle.
